Honda Shoe Navigation for make walking easier for the visually impaired.

Honda has set up a startup accelerator named IGNITION in Japan.  In which they aim to develop new mobility business ventures with funding and marketing.  The first company started by this accelerator is called Ashiras.  The company aims to develop an in-shoe navigation system to help visually impaired people with walking and daily routines.  The company expects to successfully launch this product before the end of March 2023.

The device fits into the shoe, includes a motion sensor.  Paired with the smartphone app, the device will vibrate based on the routes set in the app.  The left side of the left foot will vibrate to indicate a left turn (and the opposite of a right turn), while each toe will vibrate to indicate a forward turn.
